About the owner…
I first learned about ABA therapy by doing an extra credit project for one of my child psychology undergraduate classes at the University of Minnesota. I was so impressed when reading an article about the progress children diagnosed with Autism made from ABA therapy. I decided I wanted to learn more about it. I did some research, found a grad school to attend, and never looked back. I love the field of ABA and I love working with children. Since 2005 I have been able to go to work everyday doing something I love that combines both my passions.
As a BCBA, I believe in delivering high quality child-focused services, maintaining ethical practice standards, and continuous collaboration with caregivers and related services providers.
My Experience…
After graduating from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007, I took a job as an Educational Consultant working for Behavior Analysts, Inc. in the Bay Area. At BAI, I was responsible for running direct 1:1 therapy sessions with clients, providing parent and therapist trainings, providing group training for groups as large as 100 people, and providing school consultation.
In 2012, I left California to return to Chicago where I have been working ever since. My roles have included being the BCBA for a private therapeutic day school, working in the clinic setting providing consultation and training to therapy teams, working as a BCBA providing in-home ABA services including supervising interns, training and supervising RBTs, providing parent training and providing school consultation. In addition, I have attended the IEPs of many of my clients over the years and have conducted observations of my clients in the school setting and of related services sessions.
